Greetings from New England:
So, we're surfing the fall foliage wave, catching it just right. The upper peninsula of Michigan was spectacular and we've found our way across New York to Danbury, CT. We encountered several days of rain en route, but the skies opened enough for a classic Niagara Falls shot:

Dave is getting used to driving the F150 with the new utility trailer tagging along, just not so happy about gas mileage dropping from a fantastic 19 mpg to a grim 13 mpg...argggg. Good thing gas is cheap (we've seen it as low as 95 cents per gallon !) If you wanna see our travel rig:

It's taken us a month now to settle into the homeless routine, but we love wakin' up in the middle of forests and fresh air. (The camper shell is wonderful, especially now that we've located the pesky leak in the boot on Dave's side of the bed....there were a couple of late night visits to the laundromat to dry things out....)
Dave's growing hair again .... the shiny look was fun, but this desert rat's blood is too thin for these frosty mornings. It's back darker with a little extra salt and a reorganized hairline..... hmmmmm.
We'll keep you posted,
Dave, Lois and Leroy
